We are excited to hold another film evening on March 5th at 7.30 at St James Church Hall in Alnwick to show a new film called "In Transition". This film is an inspiring and welcome departure from the usual doom and gloom that can be conected with the environmental movement. It shows what ordinary people all over the world are doing through the Transition Movement to make changes both big and small in their communities for a more sustainable and satisfying future.

Blow for new Alnwick Book group

Bad news for keen readers in Alnwick! The proposed new Bailiffgate Book Group will now not be going ahead.
The problem was that its particular funding depended on enough people signing up for it - and that didn't happen. The new groups planned for other parts of the North-East have also been dropped, for the same reason.

A brand new reading group is to start in Alnwick next month.
The group will be based at the town's Bailiffgate Museum.

It's one of a number of new reading groups being set up around the region, organised by New Writing North and funded by Women Into the Network.
