Firefighters honoured at Alnwick Castle
Firefighters enjoyed a blaze of glory at an annual awards night.
Staff from the Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service were honoured with sporting achievements, dedication and outstanding service in the ceremony at Alnwick Castle last week.
There were also awards for members of the public and partners.
Northumberland County Council executive member for community safety Ian Lindley said: "I would like to congratulate all of the award winners and thank them for their loyalty, support, and in some cases exceptional bravery.
"In our work to ensure the safety and well-being of the community in Northumberland, we rely on the fantastic commitment shown by such people."
Awards included the Queen's Fire Service Medal and were presented by the Duchess of Northumberland, in her role as Lord Lieutenant for the county.
