Ashington Colliers 2, Alnwick Town 0
In one of four league games in the Northern Alliance Premier Division, Alnwick Town's hopes of nudging Gillford Park off the top were dashed.
Instead, the Town stayed in third place after being beaten 2-0 by hosts Ashington Colliers.
The result completed a league double for Ashington with both of their goals claimed by Anthony Wright, one in each half.
